Thank you so much for pressing play on my very first Sassafrass video! And thank you for passing that baby around Facebook, sending me your kind words and for offering suggestions to make the next one even shinier.
I meant for episode two to be a quickie. But I should have known better since I was doling out the advice someone gave to me several years ago -- that never gets tied up as soon as you intend. But the words are wise and I am really thrilled to share them with you.
Once the credits are rolling, please share the very best break-up advice you've gotten. And if you' have a topic in mind you'd like me to cover, tell me that, too!
Great words and sage advice. The best words I got from my friend (who'd been divorced before) was...no one knows what your relationship was like better than you did. So, no one knew how to handle it (or whether it was time to fight for its survival or to wave the white flag) better than you.
She was right.

Nancy, this advice is great -- and empowering! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

The best break-up advice I ever got: "Second-best is never enough; you'll do much better, baby, on your own". That's right...Madonna.

Best advice came from my former mother in law during lots of loud arguing.
"Growing up, you had to be strong on the outside. In this situation, your strength needs to come from within."
Something about that just ... clicked.
